Our Rooms

Like our whole lodge, our bedrooms have been made with love.

With big windows and balconies surrounded by the forests of Montriond. Choose from a twin share or a queen room, all four have private bathrooms just across the landing. There is also a quiet, communal desk space if you'd like to work.

Our Food

Delicious, nutritious, and plenty of choice...

Food is served around a big, shared table in the Haberdashery. A great central hub to get to know your fellow Fat-foxers!

Breakfast: Eggs on toast your way, along with fresh croissants, fruit, cereals, yoghurt and coffee.
Lunch: Pack fresh baguette and fillings to take up the mountain with you.
Supper: Healthy and delicious shared dishes from around the world. Beer and wine is included during the meal.

Youngest in the family, Otti sharpened her knives at Leiths School of Food, gained skills in kitchen management at the Netflix headquarters and spent her last year passionately throwing together wholesome food at Ottolenghi’s of London.
Here to whip up some hearty magic in the kitchen for you.

About Morzine

Morzine is a thriving Alpine village set deep in the Chablais mountain range by the France-Switzerland border.

Portes du Soleil

Located just 75km from Geneva airport is the super snowy 650km Portes du Soleil ski area, with something for everyone. Snowboarding, mountain-biking, skiing, touring, para-gliding, swimming, paddle-boarding and hiking, to name a few! Our little lodge is perfectly located to get to the best slopes of Avoriaz.

Montriond

We are in Le Ranche - the coolest part of Montriond. A 5 minute walk to a great pub, a french bar, a tiny epicerie, and another 5 minutes to the Ibex Brewery! 100 steps from the lodge is the free bus stop taking you up to Ardent bubble, a 10 minute ride to the quickest way into Avoriaz, and the best riding in PDS!

Morzine

From The Fat Fox Lodge to Morzine high street is a half hour meandering walk, 15 minute bike ride, or 5 minute bus journey. With free buses every 20 minutes in high season, and taxis we can help you with, the bustling bars and restaurants are never far. The ski lifts from central Morzine are Pleney and Super Morzine.

Portes du Soleil

Meet your Hosts

A crew of passionate snow-lovers who’ve roamed the globe and landed in Morzine to show you the best of the best.

Joe and Tess met in Banff in the Canadian Rockies seven years ago and have since worked all over the world in snowy places- Australia’s snowy mountains, Hokkaido in Japan, and British Columbia in Canada.

Now they want to tell you about the best that Morzine
has to offer, whilst making your time at the Lodge unforgettable. You’ll also meet Otti who’s the kitchen genius, Joanna and Tilly, who designed the space, and the mad plumber Andrew.

A place to stretch and breath

Our Earth Room

Named for a foxes den, our Earth Room is a warm studio for our guests to use. Daily yoga sessions are from our beautiful instructor, Hana. Let her know whether you'd prefer a strong Vinyasa flow, a gentle meditative stretch class, or an introduction to the basics. You can also use the space for personal use.

Summer at the Fat Fox Lodge

We open again in the summer season with all the stoke of the winter, but keeping it super simple…

In the summer we provide bed and breakfast to our guests. With safe mountain bike storage. Either shop at the cute local epicerie and cook in the kitchen, or go out to the local pubs and breweries for some good grub!
